Spring 2012 Orange Season Starting

The Spring 2012 Inland Orange season is beginning on January 16. The Navel oranges are so very sweet and good this year. We will have 13 weeks of wonderful sunshine in a round package. If you have not already received your bar codes they are in the mail. Please leave a slip of paper with your name on it until you receive your barcodes. Tell your friends about IOC so we can keep this organization supplying us these wonderful oranges.

Summer Season Ended - Fall Just Around the Corner

Our great 2011 Summer Season has now ended. But we are looking forward to a great Fall season starting on August 15. Some wonderful valencias will be picked this season along with many other surprises.

3. Start picking up your oranges right away! Don't wait for us to send you a Eatership packet. But please put a slip of paper with your name on it in the envelopes at the pickup locations so we can adjust our inventory at those sites appropriately!

Spring Season Begins this Week

The Spring 2011 Inland Orange Conservancy Season starts January 23. It will run for 13 weeks through April 17. For the Spring season, this means that you can pick up two bags of fresh locally grown citrus each week from the variety of locations around town. Check out the web site for the new list of pick up locations. The Spring season means those golden delicious navel oranges, super sweet oroblancos, scruptious mandarins, beautiful berry oranges and all those avocados. If you are not already an IOC member, join today.

Volunteers Needed

Celebrate Citrus will be held on Saturday April 2, 2011 from 1 to 4pm at Prospect Park in Redlands, CA. Some of the opportunities will be:
April 1: 1 hour in A.M. to clean the groves.
April 2: 9am to noon to set up for event.
Work the event for 2 or 3 hour shift for tasting booth, Children's Art Booth, IOC Booth, or Other.
Clean-up event 4pm to 5pm
February - March: Distribute advertisement flyers to businesses.
March 28 - April 1: Pick citrus at UCR
April 1: Wash Citrus
Jan - Mar: Sew cimple cushion covers for orange crates (materials porvided)
March: Create signs
